Dead Note Tour starts TODAY!
Like the Gorilla Biscuits (who we cite on on MySpace as an influence of ours) says, "START TODAY!" What does that have to do with the Dead Note Tour? Absolutely NOTHING! Nevertheless, after a short break at our respective homes with our respective loved ones, we throw ourselves back into the truck and hit the road.

This 2nd leg of our tour in support of our new album DEAD FM is a co-headlining run with Bane. Combining the titles of both of our latest records, we've dubbed this run, which will take us to Florida, across the South/Southwest, up the entire west coast and back to New York City in time for CMJ, the DEAD NOTE TOUR. A Global Threat is along for the ride once again, and This is Hell is thrown into the mix as the opener. Their label - our good friends at Trustkill Records - have set up a mini-site for the tour. Very Urgent! Donations Needed for SHAC-7 Defendant Andy Stepanian
SHAC-7 Defendant Andy Stepanian has located a great first ammendment attorney who has represented members of MOVE, Republican National Convention arrestees, and many others, and has argued numerous times in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals (where the SHAC-7 will appeal their convictions). However, Andy needs to raise 7,000 dollars by THIS TUESDAY in order to be able to hire this attorney and file his appeal on time. Unlike many of the other defendants, Andy has had only a public defender up until this point. Having received the maximum possible sentence for his charge, it is extremely important that he have competent counsel to work on his appeal - otherwise we will not see Andy for another three years.

All donations need to be RECEIVED by this Tuesday, October 3, or Andy will not be able to hire this attorney (by Wednesday, he will be in jail). If you can donate, or if you can hold an emergency fundraiser in your area, PLEASE do so for Andy. All donations can be sent to the address below. For questions on the issue, or how to transfer money in time, please call: (603) 387-2018

Checks or Money Orders should be made payable to the "Animal Defense League," and all mailed donations should be sent to:
2119 South 16th St.
Apt. 2
Philadelphia, PA 19145

Thank you! For more info on the case, visit www.SHAC7.com

also, an astute website reader called the number for SHAC7, to paypal money from Canada, and found that money for andy needs to be sent to http://www.animaldefense.info/

Strike Anywhere Goes Acoustic
We dropped by the Alternative Press Magazine Recording Studio before their recent performance in Cleveland to record a live acoustic set. It will premiere on "THE AP SHOW" on XM SATELLITE RADIO this Sunday, October 1st at 5pm on Fungus 53.

It will re-air on October 4th at 9am and again on Saturday, October 7th at 6pm.

Also, Punknews.org was able to capture some footage from our acoustic set at MacCormick's in Richmond last Sunday, September 24th. It was a benefit for the Virginia Fair Wage Alliance. We had a blast, check it out here

Gearing up for the DEADNOTE Tour w/Bane, A Global Threat and This is Hell
First of all, we'd like to thank everyone on the east coast, eastern Canada and the mid-west that came out to make our DEAD FM run w/Ignite, A Global Threat and Modern Life is War one hell of a sucess! It felt great to try out some of the new songs live, see new faces and make new friends. Of course, it was also fantastic to see those of you that have supported us over the years, too.

That said, we're putting a slightly new face on the 2nd leg of our tour, which is a co-headlining run with Bane. Combining the titles of both of our latest records, we've dubbed this run, which will take us to Florida, across the South/Southwest, up the entire west coast and back to New York City in time for CMJ, the DEAD NOTE TOUR. Our good friends at Trustkill Records have set up a mini-site for the tour. Click on the image below to visit it.

DEAD FM in Stores Today
Our new CD, Dead FM, is available in stores today! If you haven't heard it yet, go give it a listen before you purcahse it courtesy of AP magazine!.

The review in the new issue had this to say about the record: "It rules when a band smokes their old material with a new release. Sure, there's plenty to like about previous Strike records - it's just that Dead FM is better than any of them."

If you prefer to pick up a copy the "new-fashioned" way, these sites have made the disc available to purchase with the click of a button (and probably some sort of credit card) FAT WRECK CHORDS, SMARTPUNK, INTERPUNK & MERCH NOW

In case you missed it last week, the video for INSTINCT has made it's debut on MySpace (we're inside the TV! Also, you'll need Windows to view it on MySpace. Alternately it's been made available here.
